Let's Play (Casino) War
The differences between "actual" War and Casino War are few. The actual game known as War, however, is not a game that requires the use of any kind of weapon - unless you count playing cards as weapons which no one does. War was a popular card game when I was growing up in the '80s and '90s. It's a game in which the deck is placed in the middle and the players draw cards and compare their cards over and over and whoever wins each hand collects all of the cards revealed in that round. The game is meant to continue until someone ends up with all the cards. Naturally, this can take a very long time; the game has more of a reputation for its length than anything else. And, like most innocent card games, it has been turned into a casino game called Casino War and features in many an online casino. Thus, Casino War is really a version of a children's game which has been revised into a game appropriate for a casino or an online casino.
Playing Casino War
Casino War is played in the online casino much as actual War is played in real life, except that bets are wagered and the exchange of money is involved. From a standard deck of 52 playing cards, in each round, a car is dealt to the both the dealer and to the player. What happens next is simple: if the player's card is higher than the dealer's card, then the player wins the round. If, however, the dealer's card is higher than the player's card, then the player loses the round and his or her wager. If, however, the player and the dealer receive cards of equal value, then one of two things happens: the player can give up and forfeit his or her bet or the player can choose to go to war. If the player chooses to go to war, then he or she must add an additional wager of the same size as the original wager offered. If the player goes to war, then the dealer at the online casino henceforth discards three cards and then deals an additional card to both him/herself and to the player. If the player's card is higher than or equal to that of the dealer, then the player wins a payout the size of the original bet - not both. If the reverse is true, then the player loses both bets.
You probably played War as a child but if you did and you regularly engage in play at an online casino, then Casino War may be the game for you.
